Happy 4th of July

By johannandsherry

This is probably the lowest key 4th of July weekend we have ever experienced as a couple. It is amazing what adding two 4-month olds does to your life style. Our plan was to go see Grandpa and Grammy S on Thursday night. However, upon getting home on Thursday we received a phone call from Holli saying Ben was running a fever. Since the girls were a bit fussier than normal we took their temps only to find both of them running fevers as well. So here comes change number one for the weekend. We instead waited until morning and their fevers were lower and they seemed happier, off we went. We had a fun time hanging out. Although, the girls did nap more than usual and were a bit cranky from time to time. They had fun playing with cousins Connor and Miranda.

This morning we played some more and then it was time to pack up the car and move on to destination number two. We were coming home to unload stuff and then going to our friend’s parent’s house to watch a parade and hang out. However, when we got home both girls were super crabby. We took their temps and once again both were running fevers. Change number two, we now stay home. Chad, Jenny, and family stopped by for a little bit on their way to see some fireworks. We are now getting ready for bed ourselves. Ari crashed immediately and we haven’t heard from her. Brynn had a very hard time going to sleep, finally pooped, and Daddy was able to calm her down, and then off to bed for her. Fireworks are about to start, and I might open our front blinds and see if we are able to see the fireworks in the next town about eight miles away. If I don’t, I am not worried because all I really want is to go to bed. I am tired!  :)

Please note in the last picture they had on clean shirts, I went to take the picture and they both started drooling immediately! Enjoy the pictures from part 1 of our weekend:
